SMTDC is a manufacturing Business Incubation Centre established and registered as a legal NPO in 2008. The SMTDC was established as part of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) programme to increase Manufacturing Support Incubation Centre in South Africa particularly targeted towards BBBEE. The Centre has over the years swiftly promoted economic growth and SMME development in the Tshwane Municipality (South Africa), as part of government’s poverty alleviation and economic growth strategies, by employing manufacturing technologies in order to help entrepreneurs create new manufacturing businesses. The SMTDC stands to be an important role player in the creation and dissemination of knowledge and best practices in this regard.

I have 3 years of increasing staff development, program administration, active involvement in the process of training needs analysis for the Seda Practitioners nationally, creating learning initiatives according to the organization or stakeholder needs including BBB-EE transformational needs.

leveraging on learning solutions to achieve training and capacity building learning objectives.  I have demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining best practices to sustain business goals, advance training initiatives and business assessment tools of trade certification.

 I have over 8 years of experience in middle management,.  I have a positive attitude, an open mind and willingness to learn.  I have a drive to promote life-long learning practices and 6+ years as a trainer.   I am results-oriented and work towards meeting and exceeding organisational and stakeholder partnership goals.

 I have worked as an Educator for the Department of Education,  Forensic Science Analyst and Senior Forensic Analyst for the SAPS (Forensic Science Laboratory), Specialist: Quality and Standards and currently Manager: Training and Capacity Building.

An experienced Office Administration duties, Front Desk skills and Customer Service Consultant.

Lerato Moloto was awarded a Superior
 Customer Service Certificate at Sanral where she worked for 5 years as a Customer Service Consultant and as a Service Desk operator and also served 1 year at Correctional Service in the monitoring industry as Electronic Monitoring of Offenders. She then utilized her Office skills at Tshwane University of Technology at the Office of the Registrar, Admission Office where she liaised with student, lectures, Professors and the Dean as a Data Capturer. Lerato is now a Receptionist at the South African Manufacturing Technology Demonstration Centre (SMTDC) which she plays a key role in the organisation’s management, as she entrusted with welcoming clients & directing them appropriately, interacting with clients via emails, phone calls and in person. Rodney Manaso

Technical Specialist

Rodney joined  SMTDC in 2021 as a Technical specialist.  in 2019 he  was a  facilitator at EDRO Educational

Robotics,  while he was teaching coding to a previously disadvantage community.With a background in machine learning, robotics, coding and 3D printing. In 2011 he graduated with his first Diploma in Digital fabrication. After his graduation Rodney worked at the CSIR  fablab as an operational  facilitator in 2012 and worked as a  Robotics Engineer  at Global Robotics.

  2018 he started developing his first talking robot Genesis 1 .Rodney founded a technology company called  I Innovation and Research Lab in 2019  because he saw a huge gab in his previously disadvantaged community, his company is operating in block TT CLINIC Soshanguve, Pretoria and made a huge impact in developing  younger, aspiring technologists  in  robotics and coding , it will make an impact in their lives and it was during the course of engaging these youth that Rodney developed the idea of helping STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths )  students know their potential through revolutionizing the science of robotics.

.I’ve started my first job at colbyn electrical as an assistance electrician from year 2011 until 2014,In year 2015 I obtain my electrician trade certificate at Indlela institution for the national development   where I continued working as an electrician until 2017 ,In year 2018 I worked at praga technical as an operator until june 2019,from july I worked at maintenance doing electrical maintenance until august 2021 .
